UTAG REFUSES TO CALL OFF STRIKE DESPITE INJUNCTION

 Despite effort by the National Labour Commission to get aggrieved University lectures back to their various lectures halls to do what they do best has been met with quiet to the opposite.

The National Labour Commission on Saturday, 6th August, 2021 secured an interlocutory injunction against UTAG to restrain them from further embarking on the strike action.

However the new twist to the whole broahaha is that 13 universities have come into equal terms against the ruling and have subsequently signed a memoradum to express their solidarity against the court orders and thus sending the clear signal their decision to carry on with their initial position on the matter in total contravention with the court orders. 

The UTAG on Monday, 4 of August, 2021 declared a national a nation wide strike to trumpet their grievances to the government to better their conditions of service.

Meanwhile we are yet to get the next line of action of the National Labour Commission after the UTAG's refusal to succumb to the court orders.
